Founded in 1998, the Fireeye Gallery is recognized as one of the most respected and innovative visual arts institutions in Chicago and is committed to strengthening ties between artists and diverse communities throughout the city, and beyond. As a modern art galleries in the US, the Gallery features the work of ground-breaking contemporary artists from around the world , its growing collection represents the most comprehensive resource for Chicago visual art produced in the region, as well as related works by other notable Chicago and international artists. In response to the significant growth in collections, exhibitions and attendance over the two decades, the Gallery announced the it would be closing and opening a new venue. The new facility will double the Gallery's current size and will be a vital catalyst to the Chicagoland area, enhancing the city's cultural community and serving as a center for cross-cultural dialogue and exchange in the visual arts.The Fireeye Gallery is a not-for-profit organization supported by its members, individual donors, corporate funders, foundations, and the City of Chicago.
