There is a sign in front of our church that says, "First Baptist Church"...FBC. That pattern of "creative" church naming shows up in many communities. It means that we are a church. It means we were the first Baptist church established in our city. It means we are a Baptist expression of church. That's helpful but it doesn't really tell you a whole lot about us.Here's an easier way to think about FBC that better communicates who we are as a church:F - FAITH (in Jesus) - HOPE found in relationship to God through Jesus Christ.B - BELONG (in community) - LOVE found in sharing life together in a grace-filled, Christ-centered community.C - COMMISSIONED (for God's mission) - PURPOSE found in making disciples.The NAME of our church is First Baptist Church Allen, Texas.
