Leisure, Travel & Tourism - Toronto, Ontario, Canada
We organize the Participation Tours through first consultation and organization with Canadian First Nation bands. These tours allow participants to stay with Indigenous Canadians and experience their original way of life while being immersed in traditions, culture, ceremonies and spirituality first hand. We bring together the best of both worlds by bringing deep traditions of the Aboriginal ways of life to people of today who are looking forward to enriching their knowledge and connections with the roots of Mother nature. The kindness of Indigenous people who are directly involved and willing to share and contribute, creates the strong bond and weaves the Aboriginal traditions and culture into the rhythm of the modern life. This incorporates an experience in a manner that is respectful, appropriate and true to the Aboriginal culture. Interpretation is an important aspect of providing the visitor with a broad understanding of the local culture. We will involve tourists in multiple aspects of traditional aboriginal living, from fishing and hunting to crafting such as beadwork and moccasin and regalia making, to cooking to powwow ceremonies. First Nation bands will benefit from this type of tourism by generating revenue, while supporting and spreading the cultural experience. The Immersive tours create new unparalleled experiences, with low cost due to direct participant involvement, cultural exchange & enrichment, educational value, strong bond establishment, recruiting strong community support all while preserving and spreading the traditional and historical aboriginal way of life in all forms. This is an unprecedented opportunity especially during this critical time of reconciliation. We will respect Indigenous intellectual property rights, cultures and traditional practices while filling the need for sustainable and equitable business partnerships and the proper care of the environment and communities that support them.
