This organization is designed to help women become Five Star Women. To nurture, educate and transform women of color into sophisticated, cultured women who own property, who are health conscious and have financial security. Five Star Women of Color, Inc. will expose their members to learning opportunities that will help them enhance themselves in the different 5 star areas (own property, education, culture/sophistication, attractive appearance and financial security). By doing this, we as women will become better role models for our daughters, other women of color and will tear down some of the negative images, stereotypes and stigmas around women of color. The organization is also a space for women who are already five stars to network, build relationships and grow with likeminded women of color. It represents a safe zone for women to share and receive sisterly feedback/guidance. It gives them the opportunities to come together and discuss issues or concerns that most women go through and struggle on their own.
