Entertainment - Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa
Paul Blom started playing the drums in the mid-'80s, which led to several alternative bands (incl. South African Metal Godfathers V.O.D - Voice Of Destruction). After his BA Degree, he attended film school. On returning from a European Tour with V.O.D in 1996, he started entertainment writing on movies, music and gaming for a wide range of South African publications as well as international ones like Fangoria Magazine. Indie movie production was always on the go, but in 2000 the Flamedrop banner was created via the Flamedrop.com entertainment site. With partner Sonja Ruppersberg, in 2005 Film Festivals were added to the Flamedrop Productions activity roster with a wide range of alternatively slanted events, from the HorrorFest and X Fest, to Daring Doccies, Celludroid, and Sound On Screen - http://www.flamedrop.com/eventsCurrent music projects include Terminatryx, The Makabra Ensemble, and the release of the first ever heavy Afrikaans compilation album, Kopskoot!.
