We are a member of the Lions Clubs International Foundation (L.C.I.F.), is a 501 c3 volunteer organization dedicated to providing service to the community. As part of the largest service organization in the world, We help support essential vision, health and community programs since 1958. We also sponsor a LEO Club, (under 21) to help promote civic awareness and responsibility in the next generation. Our motto is "We Serve" and we believe that it is this service that helps to knit our communities together, especially in difficult economic times. Two of our signature projects are: The Arthur C. Luf Children's Burn Camp. Located in Union Connecticut, the Burn Camp provides young burn victims from 8 to 18 with the skills and the confidence to move past their physical and emotional scars. Fully volunteer, the camp relies on the support of organizations like ours. http://www.ctburnsfoundation.org/cbc.htmThe T.E.A.L Walk for Ovarian Cancer. Founded by Lions member, Louisa McGregor, T.E.A.L., which stands for "Tell Every Amazing Lady," is committed raising awareness of this "silent killer" of women, which is highly treatable is caught early, bu is rarely diagnosed in time because of a lack of information among women and in the medical community. http://www.tealwalk.org
