In 2015, former Chair of the Florida Public Service Commission Lila A. Jaber, launched the annual Florida's Women in Energy Leadership Forum (FWELF) to celebrate the success women leaders in the energy industry have demonstrated in growing Florida's economy and diversifying an already tremendous workforce. In so doing, this Forum highlights the positive impact of the electric and natural gas industries as large employers and economic developers. The leaders in these industries have important obligations to sustain large-scale infrastructure efforts for the benefit of the customers they serve and to support Florida's growth as the third largest state in the country.
