As parents to young children, we strongly believe in teaching our daughters to be equally bilingual in both English and Arabic from a young age. While there are plenty of options for simple, educational, and engaging stories in the English language, we have struggled to find comparable options in Arabic, especially as board books. After discussing this issue with many other young Arabic-speaking parents like ourselves, we realized that this is a common dilemma.As such, we were motivated to create a board book series with cute characters and a simple storyline that helps familiarize children to the Arabic language. In developing our book, we decided that our two characters would go on an educational journey through several books that focus on different aspects such as opposites, numbers, letters, and colors.
