FLxDER is an early-stage startup developing cloud-based electric vehicle charging optimization.FLxDER is an early-stage startup developing cloud-based electric vehicle (EV) charging optimization software for fleets. By addressing shortcomings of conventional approaches to "smart-charging" and grid integration, FLxDER will enable more cost-effective fleet operation, will lessen utility distribution system impacts and costs, and will facilitate the rapid adoption of EVs that is so critical to climate change mitigation. Using a unique power-flow optimization approach, FLxDER will coordinate fleet EV and stationary battery charging jointly with co-located energy resources (solar PV etc.), including reactive power compensation capabilities.
