Flyers for Kids is a nonprofit organization focused on helping to bring underprivileged children from a Denver Public School, Valverde Elementary, to the Denver Zoo Lights annually. We are responsible for fundraising, purchasing gifts, recruiting volunteer participation, and providing needed supplies for the school. Last year Flyers for Kids raised over $5,000 in just three months, and took over 40 children, 70 volunteers and 15 staff members to the event, which will now be known as Winter SchoolFari. For 2017, our goal is to raise over $20,000, which will assist in tripling our efforts.
