Flyitin is an Australian e-commerce company providing consumer-to-consumer (in our words, traveller-to-seeker) services via Internet. The website is free to use for buyers (seekers) and sellers (travellers) worldwide. It allows people who are travelling, internationally or within a country, to list goods on the website that they might come across during their trips and would like to sell at certain destination(s). Travellers can simply list any product without having to buy it outright from the overseas market. Depending on buyers interest and after negotiating the terms of delivery, travellers can then decide whether to purchase and carry the item(s) to the buyer's location. It allows people to sign up with their social networking accounts such as Facebook and Google+, or even by importing contacts, and connect with their friends or acquaintances to get a broad variety of goods which could be unique or cheaper at a particular location. The web application matches the traveller's trips and locations to present the products to potential buyers based on the buyer's location. This unique system benefits both the sellers and buyers in various ways including purchase of unique or standard products with substantial savings on shipping costs, and potentially lower cost as the traveller might end up purchasing a product in a particular overseas or local market where the product is manufactured and thereby pass on the savings/discounts to a buyer. Furthermore, the website can be used simply as a regular consumer-to-consumer marketplace where sellers don't have to travel to sell. Sellers can simply list their merchandise and sell it to any buyer who is either located in the same location or elsewhere. Flyitin offers another interesting feature called ‘Fancied items'... Flyitin is launching soon, please stay tuned!
