Fondation Alain Carpentier was created in 1987 thanks to Pr. A. Carpentier himself. The idea of creating the foundation came as an answer to a request from the Vietnamese government considering the alarming national health situation especially regarding cardiac issues by the end of the 80's.8,000 children require lifesaving heart surgery every year in Vietnam. A great number of families can't afford this lifesaving surgeries. That's why Pr. Alain Carpentier created Foundation Alain Carpentier. Our mission is to funds the surgery costs for the most destitute families of all provinces of Vietnam.Fondation Alain Carpentier gets its funding from CMI (a nonprofit medical center in Ho Chi Minh City), corporates and individuals.Since 1992 Fondation Alain Carpentier collected USD 5,459,000 and saved 4,620 children in Vietnam. **as of September 2020
