Negri Foundation onlus was established in 1993 in order to continue the work of cataloguing the over 100,000 plates that the Negri Studio started to take four generations ago and still is taking. The digital cataloguing of the images makes easier the consultation for everybody interested in studying the custom evolution and the transforming of the industrial environment and of the landscapes which have been characterizing our society over the century. The statute includes in the missions of the Foundation, moreover, the target of making available the grown expertise also to external archives, whatever private or public, in order to help them collecting, reordering and mantaining images otherwise destined to deterioration or accidental, if not deliberate, distruction.
