Legal/Attorney - Port Orchard, WA, US
I am humbled by the recognition I receive as a trial lawyer. I feel privileged to work on precedent-setting, high-profile cases. Yet I draw most pride from my service as a public defender. Through this work, I helped the forgotten, the damned and the downtrodden. I learned invaluable courtroom experience, and I learned how to try cases. If a lawyer can try a case to a jury, the client is always in good hands; at the end of the day, it is the jury's job to decide justice, not the insurance adjuster or the prosecutor or even the judge. My success is directly tied to my experience in the courtroom, hard work, passion and an unrelenting commitment to help those I represent. My honors include:Selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers* 2011-presentInstructor — Gerry Spence's Trial Lawyers CollegeTop 100 Trial Lawyer — The National Trial LawyersAvvo rating of 10/102013 Plaintiffs Trial Lawyer of the Year; Washington Defense Trial Lawyers2011 Kitsap County Bar Association president2008-2011 board of directors; Gerry Spence's Trial Lawyers College2008-2011 board of directors; Washington State Association for Justice2003 Trial Lawyer of the Year; Gerry Spence's Trial Lawyers CollegeNational speaking engagements
