Non-Profit - Longueuil, QC, CA
Directrice, développement du PRS (Programme de récupération en supermarchés)
For more than 30 years, the Food Banks of Quebec network has supported and represented 19 Moisson (sorting, distribution and storage facilities) and 13 Associates (organizations covering the Côte-Nord and the Gaspésie et les Îles-de-la-Madeleine regions) across Quebec, as well as the 1200 community organizations they are affiliated with. Each month, the network helps more than 500 000 people who go hungry. The model that was developed allows the network to recover food throughout the supply chain to distribute it. This unique structure helps reduce food waste and mitigate environmental impacts. The Food Banks of Quebec ensures the fair distribution of food and financial donations across Quebec and ensures the pooling of resources, expertise and information in order to better serve the needs of the Quebecers in a situation of vulnerability.
