Food4Kids Niagara provides a healthy supply of food for children aged 4 - 14 years sustaining weekends with limited or no access to food. Food packages are assembled by volunteers and delivered to schools each Friday morning. At the school, the food package is tucked into the child's backpack, allowing access to healthy food each weekend.Each food package contains a healthy supply of foods such as apples, oranges, grapes, healthy stews or soups and whole grains. The food provided helps provide children with the nutrition that they need to grow and thrive.Food4Kids Niagara works with individuals, groups and businesses to raise funds to sustain costs of facilitating the program.
