Footprints Family Travel is a cultural exchange program for families with kids of all ages, offering unusual immersion experiences in other cultures. We emphasize participation and interaction, hands-on learning, exploring the flora and fauna of the local ecosystem, planting the seeds of volunteerism, and traveling responsibly in respect to culture and the environment.This year we will be taking families to Northern Thailand to learn and help out on organic farms, hike through the forests, spend a day with elephants, learn to cook Thai food, and learn about Buddhism by visiting local temples and meeting with monks. We will help out a little to give our kids a taste of volunteering. (More extensive volunteering option available.)What makes us unique? We have created an unusual experience that will fully engage kids. We offer daily kids' activities so parents can have a break, and support during our day trips. We have special service- and culture-focused options for teens. We also cater to special diets, especially gluten-free, vegan/vegetarian.There is still space in the July 23 and August 3 trips.
