Footprints Press is an independent Kenyan based publishing house specialising in photographic coffee table books on Africa. Covering a diverse slate of subjects with a focus on the modern African, all the works published stimulate further dialogue. Footprints Press was established in 2010, and is headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya. The publishing house takes its name from the renowned poem by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. "Psalm of Life". Our books are exciting, innovative and enduring publications that inspire readers and contribute positively to the transforming landscape of the African continent. Whether through essays, poetry, photography, fiction or non-fiction work, the books celebrate Africa's imagination, innovation, its past and its unfolding future through the authentic voices of the African experience. The books are compilations, typically created by several hands pulling together to make the whole. More like a montage, the creations are entire projects and can be, "likened to a child raised, loved, and owned by an entire village". Footprints Press books bear a distinctive appearance: large, bold colour, high quality, and designed for aesthetic resonance. They make thoughtful gifts and unique keepsakes. Publications can be purchased online, through our website, Amazon and select bookstores and distributors in and outside Kenya.
