For Life exists to bring life and lasting change to abandoned and disabled children in Thailand.Thousands of abandoned and disabled children are living in large state facilities and receive only the most basic shelter and provision. These children are easily forgotten. They do not receive basic education or have community involvement. They are unloved, given minimal stimulation and have very little future to look forward to.In response, For Life was set up in 2004 as the UK partner of Christian Care Foundation for Children with Disabilities (CCD) operating in and around Bangkok, Thailand. We run groundbreaking projects bringing hope and lasting change to disabled children who have been abandoned or come from very poor families in Thailand. We run day care facilities for children living in the government wards; facilitate community based projects for disabled children and their families; run a residential care home for abandoned children; and help abandoned children to be reunited with their families or adopted into new families.At any one time, our support impacts and changes the lives of 500 children in Thailand.
