Higher Education - London, England, United Kingdom
Led by Fr. Richard Salmi, the Fordham University London Centre is the base of Fordham University's study away programme in the United Kingdom. The London Centre currently oversees 220 students from Fordham University in New York and from partner schools throughout the US, like Loyola Chicago, St. Louis University, and Pomona College, just to name a few. The London Centre offers four programmes:London Dramatic Academy: The LDA Conservatory Acting Programme is based on the curriculum and practices of the great British Classical training academies, and is overseen by director Kathryn Pogson.London Liberal Arts: The LibArts programme offers students the opportunity to take courses at the Fordham London Centre as well as one course offered at Queen Mary University (Fall Only), City University, or University of Westminster.Gabelli School of Business in London: The Gabelli School allows students to complete their Fordham coursework in one of Europe's greatest commercial hubs.London Internship Programme: This programme gives students a taste of what it's like to be a young professional in London, working approximately 2 days a week in a field ranging from Health Science, to Film/Television, to Pre-Law. In addition to the internship, students take credits at the London Centre from the Gabelli or LibArts curriculum.Since 2008, the London Centre has been located at the University of London's Heythrop College in Kensington Square, but later this year, we will be moving to a new location at 150-152 Clerkenwell Road. Fordham's new centre in Clerkenwell will occupy a freshly renovated 17,000 square foot building, and will hold a contemporary student lounge, a library and learning resource centre, a dedicated modern performance floor for the Drama programme, and a further two floors with state-of-the-art classrooms for our Liberal Arts, Business, and Internship programmes. You can also check us out on Instagram, Facebook, and Youtube!
