ForgeWorks specializes in developing online communities to support learning movements: groups of people working together to advance their shared political, social or artistic ideas while simultaneously developing the abilities of their members.To develop these online communities, ForgeWorks employs a unique combination of human-centered design, learning science, design-based research, and agile software development. Working closely with our partners, we interleve user-research methods from the social sciences simultaneously with rapid iterative development of prototypes informed by state-of the art learning research. With a team of developers and designers, we are able to quickly design and implement innovative software platforms.
