Created by celebrity chef and sommelier Stephen Asprinio, the late Forté di Asprinio presented an experience that focused on contemporary Italian cuisine. Mr. Asprinio devised the menu to create an inventive, refined approach to regional Italian cooking, while offering an array of local and artisan ingredients in each dish. The cuisine was paired with an extensive wine program featuring hundreds of boutique wineries from around the world. \\Forté di Asprinio encompassed 5,500 square feet of which Mr. Asprinio designed with a mid-century modern vision in mind. The dining room sat up to 125 guests, which included outdoor seating. Private dining for up to 15 guests was available as well. The restaurant's bar and lounge that also served as Forté di Asprinio's nightlife component in the later hours was located adjacent to the dining room, and sat an additional 50 guests. Lastly, located beside the 3,500 bottle wine cellar was the Chef's Table. The Chef's Table was nestled in a private dining room that could accommodate up to 6 guests, in which a 10-course "menu degustazione" was served with wine pairings for each course.\\The restaurant went on to receive enormous praise from local and national critics alike, as well as from award-winning author and food authority Michael Ruhlman. Forté di Asprinio earned the title of "One of the Top 10 Best New Restaurants in the United States" by The Gayot Restaurant Guide, along with a Santé Restaurant Award in Culinary Hospitality for Innovation, an Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator, and an Award of Unique Distinction from Wine Enthusiast.
