Foulad Institute of Technology was established in 2005 with the permission of the Higher Education Development Council and under the supervision of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology by a group of experienced and well-known faculty members of Isfahan University of Technology. With careful planning, this institute is going to become one of the major scientific centers in the country. All students of the institute are introduced and accepted through the national exam and the faculty members of the institute are generally experienced professors of the Isfahan University of Technology, University of Isfahan, and other prominent universities in the region. This institute is located in Fouladshahr, 18 km west of Isfahan. Due to the establishment of the institute in the center of the steel industry, most of the institute's fields have been selected in the technical branches of engineering and management, one of which is to help provide the labor force needed for regional industries, especially the steel industry. In addition, the establishment of the institute in the direction of the Isfahan Science and Technology Corridor can be an effective factor in the development of research and technology in the field of technology and engineering in the region.
