4Watoto's mission:4Watoto creates empowering environments for children and youth in the Kivu region (DR Congo) so that they can become independent people by using their full potential and thus positively impact the region. We want to support Congolese children and youth with opportunities in the areas of care, housing, education, business development and employment. The 4WatotoHouse is located in Goma, this is the capital of the North Kivu province in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo. It is located on the northern shore of Lake Kivu, next to the Rwandan city of Gisenyi. Goma lies only 13–18 km (8.1–11.2 mi) south of the active Nyiragongo Volcano. 4Watoto aims to change the narrative about the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Her focus is on education, in the western world and on the African continent.
