Foundations for Life Academy was founded on the beliefs that a systematic approach to education is best done by developing individual strengths and skills by promoting personal empowerment and self confidence. It is our mission to provide a higher learning experience that is divided into three general areas, educational services, support, and opportunities. Educational services are those things that are done for our student population and that involves the provision of resources, knowledge and a planned organized individualized learning environment. Supports are those things done with the student population, often in the form of interpersonal relationships and other accessible resources that allow students to take advantage of services and opportunities. Support comes in the form of the ongoing assessment of each student and using that information to target and tailor instruction. Opportunities are created as a result of support and services for students and are very important since they provide chances for exploration, personal expression, and self-determination.
