Foxlake Adventures has developed Scotland's first cable wake park, set up by like-minded individuals under a Community Interest Company to develop the sports of wakeboarding , mountain biking and outdoor adventure activities within the beautiful setting of Hedderwick Hill, Dunbar It is situated adjacent to the famous John Muir Park. The first phase has seen the establishment of the wake park.We opened in July 2012 with one Sesitec System 2 cable on our 180m lake . Foxlake is Scotland's latest sporting social enterprise and the only cable wakeboard site in the UK operated under this model.The directors have set out to take this sport, which is short listed for the 2020 Olympic Games, to the youngsters and adults of Scotland. Previously unknown to many, cable wakeboarding is the fastest growing watersport in the world. It brings what was previously accessible only by boat to the inland waters of Scotland and most importantly as an affordable and accessible sport for all.Working with community partners we have seen over 1,000 children and adults take up this sport for the first time and enjoy the site and activities we offer. 2013 will see a second cable and further trails and activities developed on site.
