Franklin Gertler Étude légale • Law Office is a Montreal-based public law practice offering bilingual specialized services in environmental, Indigenous, energy, natural resources, administrative and constitutional law. Our clients are Indigenous Nations, environmental NGOs, citizen groups, and selected municipal and governmental bodies. We believe in a client-focussed approach and provide audacious and creative legal services. For over 30 years, we have advised on policy and legislation, assisted in the development of Indigenous laws, conducted negotiations and litigated in trial and appeal courts, including the Federal Court and the Supreme Court of Canada.Over the years we fought against fracking, fossil-fuel power plants, power lines, garbage dumps, pig farms, highways and flooding and clearcutting of Indigenous lands. We have fought for energy efficiency, public participation in decision-making and the rights of Indigenous peoples, especially as regards Aboriginal and Treaty rights and title, territory, natural resources, self-government and the care of families and children.
