FRC Team 7719 Java Knights Details
Java Knights is the first FIRST Robotics team in Indonesia. Our mission is to inspire young people by being one of the influence for a lot of young Indonesians to be interested and know more about the STEM field. Java Knights is a part of R2045 (short for Rendezvous 2045). This is an initiative made by the youths from Indonesia to study the field of robotics and technology to welcome the 100 years of Indonesian independence in 2045. We also attend many events to be able to invite more people to be interested in this field. We started in 2017, when we joined the FGC in Washington DC and got a silver medal for innovation in engineering awards. Then in 2018, we participated in another FGC competition in Mexico City and won a bronze medal for imagination and creativity award. This team is built like a business, where each member focuses on different aspects of the challenge. Members here have opportunities to design robot parts, do business, photography and videography, manufacture, and program a robot in under 6 weeks.
