Learn to become a better dancer and impress your friends at swanky social events, parties, weddings and night-clubs all over Essex County and Beyond! Private introductory lessons are 30 minutes and introduce students to the the spectacular spectacle of ballroom dancing. During the 40-minute group lessons, you can learn to master the merengue rhythm and distinguish your right foot from your left. Personally, we've never actually met a human with two-left feet, but we've heard a lot about them. Whirl and twirl, prance and pony your way about the dance floor at our Thursday night parties, where everyone gets to have fun showing off their new skills, while gaining valuable practice getting your freak on, which is sure to help dancers at upcoming weddings, bar mitzvah, or funky first dates. Currently owned and operated by 5-Time Unite States Champions Kostadin Bidjourov and Carrie Babcock, the Fred Astaire of Upper Montclair has been awarded NJ's top studio more than any other Fred Astaire in NJ. Through group, private and party like instruction, the award winning and certified instructors at Fred Astaire teach all forms of ballroom, Latin, social, wedding dance, children, competitive and theatrical dancing. We offer dance lessons in waltz, foxtrot, tango, Viennese Waltz, quickstep, cha-cha, rumba, swing, samba, mambo and salsa, merengue, jive, paso doble, hustle, west coast swing.
