Free Beer Co. is a true "candy shop" for beer lovers, featuring craft beer from around the corner and around the world. Our motivation is to "liberate" craft beer, exposing people to flavours beyond tradition, convention and mass production. So what's better than enjoying great beer?... Sharing it!We're best known for our refillable ‘Growlers'. This is a sustainable way of enjoying fresh craft beer filled directly from the keg, the way the brewer intended. Customers purchase a 1 or 2 litre growler and choose from our weekly changing tap selections on our bespoke growler station. Each beer is handled with the utmost care, first purging the bottle with Co2, then carefully filing cold and foam-free to ensure you can enjoy the freshest flavours of the product when you open your growler. We guarantee this freshness for a minimum of two weeks, then simply rinse, return, and refill!Our lovingly curated selection of bottles and cans on the shelf and in the fridge rotate quickly with new beers added weekly, so there are always fresh new international and locally brewed beers to discover. Our beer experts are in store to guide you, advise food pairing, serving tips and how to best enjoy craft beer. We also host monthly tastings in our "Locked in the Beer Shop" sommelier led after hours sessions.Sustainability is important to us, from filling reusable growlers from the keg; eliminating packaging, waste, and reducing shipping emissions, down to the repurposed furnishings, and even upcycled gift packs. We also made the contentious decision to reduce the amount of refrigeration in our store. We've opted for a location with a cool cellar to keep fragile craft beers fresh, rather than a bank of fridges sucking power 24/7, and replenish on shelf only what will move quickly.Craft beer newbie, or a hard core hop-head, come experience the Craft Beer Liberation.Free Beer Co.
