Freedom Birds is primarily made up of 50+ volunteers who are passionate about moving our friends and allies to safety. Most of Operation Freedom Birds team members are volunteers who have put their personal lives on pause to give attention to this dire humanitarian mission. We're partnering with trusted personnel on the ground who are safeguarding Americans and trusted Afghan families inside conflict zones. We do not operate on the ground within Afghanistan. Our vast intelligence network ensures each family member has been cleared and vetted before being allowed onto the Freedom Birds flight. Once wheels up, we transport our friends and their families to a safe country and ensure their arrival is in accordance with the laws of the generous host country. Our legal team will work to help each Afghan navigate the complex Asylum Seeker, Temporary Refugee, and other classification processes. We've identified thousands of previously cleared and vetted Afghan families who are in imminent danger. We also identified American citizens who remained in Afghanistan after the Taliban took control. It's becoming more difficult for them to acquire daily necessities. As an American non-profit with limited funding and limited Freedom Birds seats, we've been forced to prioritize whom we save from the Taliban. 1st. American Citizens.2nd. SIVs (Special Immigrant Visas). 3rd. P1 / P2 Afghan Visa applicants.4th. Afghan nationals are currently targeted by the Taliban. (Female community leaders, female doctors, female educators, etc.)
