Freedom Won Pty Ltd was founded by Lizette Kriel and Antony English to develop their ideas on electric mobility and alternative energy solutions. The business has made inroads into enlightening various industries to the benefits of using electrical energy for mobility instead of diesel or petrol. One sector that is developing quickly is eco-tourism, where electric game viewing (safari) 4x4's and boats offer a fantastic guest experience while substantially reducing operating costs and maintenance. The company has produced several vehicles and boats as well as solar power solutions all using their imported Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFEPO4) batteries. Freedom Won is a leader in providing Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries for stationery power in Southern Africa. Solutions for the mining industry include electric LDV's for both open cast and underground operation, underground battery electric locomotives and particularly LiFePO4 battery packs for use in UPS and battery tripping units. The market is slowly becoming aware of the compelling motivation for using Freedom Won's alternate green energy and back up power solutions and hence the business in in a continual growth phase. Investment funding and assistance from government programmes is key to the continued growth of Freedom Won and the alternate energy field as a whole.
