F.R.E.S.H. is taking a step in the right direction to fight homelessness. We aim to build up those who have fallen on hard times - one shower at a time. Dignity is about providing access to the basic necessities to get back in the hame of life. Restoring dignity is about providing a hand-up rather than a hand-out. While we take something as simple as a shower for granted, our homeless community understands this is a luxury that can be hard to come by. Our mobile unit provides showers in the community to those without access. With compassion we offer all toiletries on site and give to go kits as well. Through our partnerships we are proud to offer haircuts, clothing and job search assistance. Our research shows with Hand Up services individuals are more willing to be productive and move towards self-sufficiency than Hand Up resources; and we are eager to help them get there! We choose to respect our friends in the homeless community by providing access to a proper alternative to address their hygienic needs. We currently serve the Harris County community in Houston, TX.
