Friendicoes SECA (Society for the Eradication of Cruelty to Animals) is a registered non-profit charity in India; dedicated to the welfare and protection of domestic animals. In the 1970s a group of school kids got together and started a kindness club for distressed stray animals under the Defence Colony flyover. After getting registered in 1979, In the last three decades, a lot of things have changed. Now Friendicoes SECA has a shelter and a hospital in New Delhi along with a rehabilitation centre, a sanctuary in Gurugram with more than one thousand animals, two operation theatres, a Lab and an X-ray unit.
