Philanthropy - North Miami, Florida, United States
The Young Leadership Greater Miami Chapter was founded in 2003 by Oren Kattan, Eric Stein, and Jodi Benyunes. Today we are close to 4,000 young professionals and emerging philanthropists who come from medicine, finance, law, real estate, entertainment, art, sports, and more. The Greater Miami Young Leadership is a strong supporter of IMPACT! scholarships, having supported more than 50 students over the years and we currently have 16 students. We have also helped fund a wide range of FIDF construction projects including the gardening and landscaping in the Isaac and Nieves Olemberg and Family Cultural and Educational Sports Center in Edom, the garden patio at the Braman Family Medical Center in Reim, the entry porch at the Falic Family Cultural, Educational & Sports Center for the Givati Brigade, and the canteen in The Isaac and Nieves Olemberg and Family Cultural and Educational Sports Center for Maglan. We have also donated funds to Bahad 1 infirmary, in addition to supporting FIDF Financial Relief and Lone Soldiers programs. We are very active and enjoy host a wide range of events including pool parties, wine and cheese evenings, Shabbat dinners, "shvitz days", family days, and happy hours. Our Annual White Party and Casino Night collectively attracts 1,000 attendees and raises over $150,000. We are fortunate to count Hurricane PM, DFA-Duty Free America, and Deutsche Bank as corporate sponsors.
