Vision: To connect people with nature for the mutual benefit of public lands in Texas and their surrounding communities. Mission: With a focus on promoting public utilization and participation on the National Forests & Grasslands in Texas, FNFGT reaches diverse populations with messages and incentives to discover nature in order to gain from the many benefits of outdoor recreation and service learning on public lands. Program Overview: FNFGT programs recruit and train active volunteers and part-time staff to become engaged in conservation education, environmental stewardship and community-based projects that create life-long connections with nature.
