Serving the Greater Seattle area, we are a non-profit organization that combines leadership opportunities with the learning of science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEM) in a sailing environment for middle school girls (5th-8th grades). Frog Prints e! is designed to encourage and build in young women both leadership capabilities and a life-long love of STEM, science, technology, engineering,art, and math. We achieve this by providing hands-on learning opportunities that also encourage young women to explore fields like physics, marine engineering, civil engineering, marine biology and technology. Using sailing as a learning environment, Frog Prints e! empowers girls from all socio-economic levels to ‘lean into' engineering and the hard sciences by exposing them to real-life examples used in every day sailing activities such as raising sails several times the weight of a girl, or the use of environmental cues to lead sailing crews and where and when to safely sail while having fun.
