Locally based in the North End community of Boise, Idaho, Fuel for the Soul is a small, family operated, artisan producer of handmade, preservative free, premium gourmet foods. The company produces it's signature Burek, which is the Turkish version of an Italian Calzone or South American Empanada......what we like to call "Goodness in a Puff". Regular fillings include Pizza with Kalamata Olives; Mushrooms, Carmelized Onions & Goat Cheese; Cheese, Herbs & Egg. Monthly special Bureks for direct sale to retail customers have included Oktoberfest Burek (Bratwurst and sauteed red peppers & onions) & Italian Stallion Burek (Spicy Italian Sausage, sauteed red peppers & onions and tomatoes). Our current monthly special Burek is the Jamaican Ya Man, which is a roti style curried chicken & potato.Our Crostata d'Italia is a cookie sized version of a traditional Northern Italian dessert. It's a shortbread style cookie topped with locally made Huckleberry Lemon Curd or Razzleberry (Huckleberry & Raspberry) Jam. Our Crostata d'Italia are sold individually wrapped as well as in packaging of 4-5 cookies....."A Sweet Delight in Every Bite".Fuel for the Soul's product line is rounded out with it's freshly baked Tartes (Cherry Tomato & French Feta Cheese and Leek & Imported Swiss Gruyere Cheese) and exclusive Gluten Free Prepared Pie Crusts. All of the Bureks and Crostata d'Italia are available in both Regular & Gluten Free.
