Education Management - Tokyo, , Japan
The mission of the Japan-United States Educational Commission (JUSEC) is to promote mutual understanding, friendship, and cooperation between Japan and the U.S. through educational exchange. This is primarily accomplished through the administration of the Fulbright Program which has awarded study and research grants to over 9,500 Japanese and Americans since fiscal year 1951-1952. The Commission's other activities include but not limited to special exchange programs, which are programs for junior and high school teachers, while EducationUSA provides general information on Japanese and U.S. higher education to the public. The Commission is funded by both the Japanese and U.S. governments, the Fulbright Alumni Association of Japan, and the private sector.
