Akwaba Foundation is a non-governmental organization that was founded in 1992 with the aim of achieving a fairer world for everyone. Its members are young people as elderly people who together work for the development of the poorer population in the city of L'Hospitalet (Barcelona) and other parts of Catalonia. WELCOMING AND TRAININGAkwaba's interest is to help newcomers integrate into our society. Our activities are aimed at providing them with the necessary tools to actively participate in the daily life of their neighbourhood and the city of Barcelona, with equal opportunities, rights and duties.We are convinced that training is the key to make people less vulnerable.GLOBAL EDUCATIONWe promote a responsibility for global justice through specific activities targeted at schools and public places through workshops and socio-educational activities based on education of values and long-term awareness campaigns.ÒMNIA AKWABAWe encourage individual development and social cohesion through information technology (IT). Punt Òmnia is a place for socialization, participation and inclusion, in which we work with a community, intercultural and gender equality perspective.
