The Women for Africa Foundation is a Spanish private, non-profit entity created in February 2012 by María Teresa Fernández de la Vega, the former vice president of the Government of Spain.\Its aim is to promote equal rights and opportunities for women, contributing to the progress of the continent.\Women for Africa is commited to democracy, governance, peace, human rights and sustainable economic and social development. And all this through equality, because we are convinced that equality is the most powerful instrument of social transformation.\\La Fundación Mujeres Por África es una entidad privada sin ánimo de lucro creada en 2012 por María Teresa Fernández de la Vega, ex vicepresidenta del Gobierno de España.\El principal objetivo de la fundación es contribuir al desarrollo del continente africano a través del apoyo y acompañamiento a sus mujeres, que constituyen su gran motor de progreso.\Mujeres por África está comprometida con la democracia, la gobernanza, la paz, los derechos humanos y el desarrollo económico y social sostenible. Y todo ello en clave de igualdad, porque estamos convencidas de que la igualdad es el factor más poderoso de transformación social.
