MISSION: Funkanometry Dance Company is a nonprofit performing arts organization that entertains, unites, and educates through our love of dance.ABOUT FUNKANOMETRY SF:Funkanometry San Francisco Dance Company is an award-winning, 501(c)(3) nonprofit performing arts organization renowned in the Bay Area for their cutting-edge choreography, stylistic versatility, and professionalism. It was established in 2002 and has a sister branch in New York. Founded in 2002, Funkanometry SF is a dynamically different dance company dedicated to providing the Bay Area arts community with high quality dance training, affordable dance classes, performance opportunities, and youth mentorship. In 2005, Funkanometry SF was awarded the prized GOLDIE (Guardian Outstanding Local Discovery) award, and they have traveled nationally and internationally to share their passion for dance with communities in need. Through their Funksters youth training program, Funkanometry SF works to cultivate the next generation of hip hop dancers and dance leaders.
