The Sinfonía Concertante Foundation of Panama (FUNSINCOPA) is a non-profit organization founded in 2008. Its mission is to be a platform for education, creation, interpretation and appreciation of classical music with the principles of inclusion, equality and excellence. FUNSINCOPA is the executor of the Panama Children's and Youth Philharmonic Program (FIJP), a music education program aimed exclusively at children and young people from 7 to 25 years of age who are in high-risk sectors (Chorrillo, Santa Ana, San Felipe, Arraiján, Calidonia, among others). All children and young people participating in the program receive a scholarship, which includes: instrument loan, individual lessons, orchestral practice, theory and music theory, food and transportation during the concert season. FUNSINCOPA since its inception has awarded 800 children and currently maintains 130 children in its program and continues to increase
