In 2005, as an independent artist, I founded this company to expand my creativity. What is Fuse Creations? Its a polymer clay art business that offers a variety of unique, one of a kind handmade creations. I have made my company successful by wearing all hats: marketing, branding/packaging, web design, graphic design, promotion, social media, accounting… and most importantly being the artist. This has challenged me to learn a lot autonomously about all these expertises and has allowed me to build a great reputation for my Art. This creative venue has also permitted me to share my talent by making many donations to organizations in need.My work consists of creating small scale Figurines and jewellery (mostly necklaces) with polymer clay. Polymer clay is a substance that can be sculpted, shaped mixed and more to create the desired object which is then fired in the conventional oven at a low temperature to make it a solid tangible piece of art or jewellery. My pieces are created using different coloured clay. Patterns can also be created by mixing and bringing different colours together; no paint is used to illustrate patterns. The patterns are used in both my sculptures/figurines and when making jewellery. All beads are sculpted or shaped by hand and brought together to become the desired design. When making jewellery, my pendants are placed onto a metal wire, leather or strings to complete a necklace (with sterling silver findings). I also incorporate sterling silver and stainless steel wire to my designs to create contrast in texture and substance.
