Fusion Fiber Optic Solutions was founded in Airdrie, Alberta in 2012 to fill a growing need in the Canadian communications industry for fiber optic cables and connectivity equipment. Scott saw a need in the market for specialty fiber optics cables, connectivity equipment and other related products. They simply weren't readily available, or the cost of shipping cross-border was high due to shipping and customs cost. Scott was determined to find a solution to his customers' problems and initiated a partnership with Fiber Instrument Sales (FIS), headquartered in the Fiber Optic Research Park in the town of Oriskany in Central New York State. FIS is a manufacturer and full-line distributor of communication fiber optics; test equipment, connectors, cable and cable assemblies, tools and tool kits, fiber optic consumable products, Category 5e and 6 cabling products, active network equipment, and fiber optic security systems and components.Through this partnership, Fusion Fiber Optic Solutions is now able to offer Canadian customers the fiber optic equipment they need at competitive prices.
