Future fwd is a social cleantech enterprise focusing on developing and manufacturing clean tech solutions for the future mainly in the developing world within water cleaning, energy and social grids. We are a company focused on social innovation and manufacturing to make an impact on global poverty and health. Our first project, Bottled Lighting, patented, developed for the more than 1.5 billions living without electricity to remote off grid communities and based on a payment system that integrates a waste management program was sold in the second venture round to a global company. Our second project is focused on reducing CO2 and enhancing health. Pure Pump, patented, and based on Nano technology, cleans water for dirt and bacteria on demand with a need from more than 2 billion people in the world.We work with open source technology, new models of sustainable economic development using emerging technologies and are focusing on new innovative distribution channels.Future Fwd functioned as a moonshot factory and was acquired by IKEA Social in 2013.
