What Is The Future MD's of Canada Program?Are you a pre-med, pre-dental, or health care focused student? Future MD's of Canada is an organization that allows students to shadow healthcare professionals of all fields during the Coronavirus pandemic. As a premedical student, my peers and I have been very limited by the presence of the pandemic, and shadowing opportunities have become unsafe for us, the physicians, and the patients. This is where Future MD's of Canada comes into play! By attending, you will receive a shadowing hour for each session as a new healthcare professional will co-host a zoom call. Each week will be different as some weeks will have more than one co-host speaking on our behalf! Finally, hours logged from the zoom calls will be considered virtual shadowing (unfortunately it cannot be considered clinical experience). As the organization grows, I will work hard to find willing healthcare professionals who will devote their precious time to discuss their lives with pre-health students! As Future MD's of Canada grows, we will look to add a team of directors to help facilitate student to healthcare worker relations!
