We are an organisation based in the South of England with a team drawn from the Universities of Southampton and Portsmouth, led by the Hampshire Chamber of Commerce, supported by the local authorities of South Hampshire and major companies IBM, Southern Water, Bouygues, SSE Power Distribution and Sustrans. Our 5 year plan to "INSPIRE RESPONSIBLE ECONOMIC PROSPERITY" and Create a Low Carbon Economy in the South. • Create 5,000 new jobs in the Region • Lend £120 million through our Community Bank to SMEs and sustainable projects • Set up our own clean energy company and generate 10% of Regional Energy Needs • Support 100 cleantech SMEs to export and to grow • Create 200 apprentices for the Greentech Cluster in 2 years • Commence Phase 1 of the Greentech Enterprise Park How do we know we can achieve this? • We are a strong partnership of Business people, Universities and the Public Sector delivering together since 2012 • We are the Nation's leading environmental technologies cluster – the first to receive EU accreditation in the UK • We have secured £30 million of private and public investment in to the Solent Region • We have built a multi-talented team with a wide range of skills and expertise • We have created 206 hi-tech sustainable jobs – ave salary of £30K • Engaged over 800 low carbon businesses and organisations through our events • Created an Environmental Technology Hub in Portsmouth • Created Wireless Technology Hubs in Portsmouth and Southampton What do we need?
