The Future Threads Project aims to engage more people in the discussion of what sustainable fashion actually means; what it could be, and how we define it.To eliminate the negative misconceptions of what eco- and ethical fashion refers to, we want to highlight the variety of ways one can make sustainably conscious choices without sacrificing one's own personal lifestyle or outward identity. We want to explore the reasons why sustainable fashion is still considered a marginal part of the industry, what the hurdles are for implementing a conscious attitude to fashion in the mainstream, and how to work around these challenges in an engaging, creative, fun and innovative way.
