The goal of the Futuristic Faculty is to help tenure-track faculty develop a reflective approach to their teaching that is anchored in the tenets of action research and the Essential Competencies of a Futuristic Faculty.The corona virus pandemic has changed millions of educators around the globe. Given the digital divide, new shifts in education approaches can widen equality gaps. New solutions for education can bring much needed innovation. Public-private educational partnerships can grow in importance.The pandemic is giving tech massive insights at scale as to what human development and learning looks like, allowing it to potentially shift from just content dissemination (spreading) to augmenting (enlarging) relationships with teachers, rationalization, and independence. Our aim is attaining sustainable development and achieving higher growth rates which could be enabled through creation, transmission and dissemination of knowledge. Education at all levels in the country is witnessing a consistent growth pattern marked by the setting up of new institutions and the improvement of the existing ones. Demand for qualified teachers and faculty members over the next few years would be substantial and will become extremely critical for states to expand the current institutional capacities, not only of infrastructure but also of qualified and trained faculty members.
